I have my first consultation appointment on July 23!! I'm very excited. My doctor recommended this particular doctor. His name is Brebrick. I don't know anything about him. I had my sleep test done last week and, though I don't know the results yet, they did come in at some point and put the CPAP on me, so I know that I have it or they wouldn't have put it on me. I should know the exact results of that test this next Tuesday. Things are moving right along. My "hope" is to have the surgery in the fall. Wish me luck!

You are very inspiring for me and I'm hoping you can offer up advice along the way. I am 38 years old and have been obese since the age of 12. I am only 5'1" and weigh 305 pounds. Bariatric surgery had been mentioned to me before, but I figured I'd never qualify, but I've learned through ObesityHelp that I have a very good chance of qualifying. Here's a recent photo of me. I hate having photos taken, as I'm sure you did as well. I'm starting a new job next week so my new insurance won't go into effect until June 15th. I did find out that the insurer is Employer's Health Insurance, but that's all I know. At my orientation at my new job on Monday I'll have more details.
