When I was in High School, I didn't have a weight problem until all of a sudden my senior year I started gaining and have continued for the past 17 years. I had set an appointment to meet with a surgeon a few years ago and got a weird phone call that he was moving and not taking new patients, after I had an appointment. I took this as a sign that this was not the right time. I started this process again at the end of December and went to Dr. Patel's Seminar in early January. Because of my wonderful insurance (that is sarcasm), I had to do 6 months of supervised weight loss. Did that and then the insurance seemed to take forever but finally got the call on October 17 that the insurance had approved the surgery. Yeah!!!!!! I now have my surgery date, November 28. That is the day my life will change and life will be on the road to a healthier me.
