3 Month Follow-Up

I had my 3 month follow up appointment on Thursday and everything was good. I have lost 49 pounds to date and am feeling good. The only thing that I have problems eating is bread. Don't get me wrong, I have gotten sick a few times but I think that was things just hitting my new stomach wrong.
1st Dr.'s Visit

I went to my first post-op appointment the week before Christmas just haven't had a chance to post. I lost 25 pounds, yeah!!!!! I am so excited. I did get to go to phase III of the diet and had a little solid food for Christmas. I am doing great. No more hurting and am now 4 weeks post-op.
December 13 - 2 weeks and a day Post-Op

I can't believe it has been 2 weeks. I am doing well. I have probably over done it the last couple of days so my big incision is bothering me a bit. When I bend over to the right side, it is bothering me more than days prior. Otherwise, things are great. I can't wait to graduate to the next step of the diet to get a little variety in my life. Well, I will check in later, need to go walk. See ya'.

I got home last night, 11/30. Everything is going good except my right side is very sore. Did anyone else have that problem? My left side isn't giving me any pain. It just hurts to get up or down but walking is fine. I have been walking and will get my walk in today, rain or shine. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts.

I'm Beverly, Barbie's sister, she went through the surgery yesterday. She was up and moving around a couple hours after the surgery just like everyone advised, she is doing great today walked three times today so far and had here broth, jello, propel, tea, and water for lunch. Please keep her in your paryers but she is doing well, and we will keep you posted.

I drove to San Antonio today to do my pre-op testing. I thought it would be a lot more but it was a piece of cake. I checked out the hospital and made sure I knew where I would be going next week. I can't wait!!

I am so excited about having RNY surgery. I have to go to do my pre-op testing on November 20. I am continuing to do as much research about what things I can expect after surgery. I am not scared about the surgery, I see the light at the end of the tunnel and the pair of fire engine red Rocky Mountain jeans that have been in my closet forever and can't wait to get into again on my way to a healthier me.
