Carol, my starting weight was 218. I'm now 15 months post op and doing great with a loss of 85lbs. That is 85% of my excess weight gone! Your weight loss will be much slower so be prepared for that but your results will also be more dramatic sooner. Best of luck to you!

Hi Everyone! I got an e-mail from Carol and she had to go to the hospital again. She was in for 5 days, she was weak and dehydrated. They did a scope on her and found out that she has ulcers and a hyntial hernia. I hope everyone can send her a note to cheer her up. I will post again when I get some more info. Cheryl

Carol: I am having surgery with Dr. Coella's partner (Dr. Williams) on 8/9/02. I am curious as to how they are about pain control - its my number one fear because I've had experiences where doctors don't care at all. Were you on unit 6C. Also, do they put us in intensive care first, thats a question I always forget to ask and I don't want to bother Brenda more than I have to. I was happy you liked the hospital. THat gives me hope.

Hi Everyone, Quick update on Carol. She had a set back and ended up in the hospial with pancreatitis. She is back home and says she has some pain in her stomach but doing okay.

Hi! I wanted to let everyone know that I got an e-mail from Carol and she got home from the hospital last night. She is doing okay. She is feeling a little weak and depressed but I think that is to be expected. Don't you all think? I'll let you know how she is when I hear more. Please say a prayer for her.
