Feeling great...almost no pain...unless I eat too fast, the steri strips are coming off and I think there will be minimal scaring. YAY! Can't wait 'till I'm on soft food, I miss scrambled eggs, cheese and salsa! Getting really sick of sweet protein shakes and I don't even miss sweet snacks....I miss eggs, meat and vegg...ies most and can't wait to be off this full liquid diet!

Wow! Had a doctors appointment today and things are moving along fine. Fell down yesterday though and tore a stomach muscle, having nothing to do with surgery. Ouch! Not exactly what I needed now but I got it! Im getting used to the liquid diet but still missing my goodies. (not sweets, never really liked sweets) Except for the muscle tear Im feeling pretty good! Lost 5lbs. and getting really excited. First fill is in 3 weeks. Never thought it would be that soon but thats great. Just taking it day by day!

I am feeling pretty great today. Still have quite a bit of pinching pain but not too bad. My chest is a little heavy if it gets much worse I’ll go in and have it looked at but all in all it’s not been half as bad as I thought it would be. I’ve gained a new love for Jell-O and watery, cheesy mashed potatoes and cream of... broccoli and mushroom soups. I can eat 1/2 cup every few hours which is nice. Got lots of schoolwork to finish today (late) but I’ll get it done! Only a heart of ice would deny me the chance to turn it in now! But yeah.......I am feeling pretty damn good ! Look out world as soon as the pain is gone!!!!!!

Ok, so I had surgery yesterday. Stayed in a hotel in town last night since we live 2 hrs. away but we are headed home soon. YAY, I miss my house, my dozen animals and especially my dog. I'm not hurting too badly. Only in pain on the longest incision, the port  site. The meds make me a little loopy but I don't think Ill need them much longer. I slept very well laying on my side with a pillow nestled against my belly. I am so very thirsty! Cant get enough and I think I've developed an addiction to jello. Ive been walking a good bit but my hip hurts pretty good today (unrelated) and it makes it tough to walk for me on a good day! My husband has been wonderful! Helping me out all the way. I cant wait to start seeing the pounds slip away !

Went to coldstone creamery tonight and what did I get? A kiddy cup of sugar free raspberry sorbet....and Im only eating half! 23 pounds lost - surgery in two weeks and 106 lbs. to go! Yay me!

Oh my goodness I can't believe that my surgery date is almost near! In two weeks and two days I'll be taking the biggest step ever twards physical wellness. My hubby and I are both getting a little scared. He took pictures of me out on our weekend in the mountains and stopped himself just as he began to say "last pics of you before this......" I didn't ask him to repeat knowing that he meant just in case he looses me. He worries too much. Me, I am just nervous about the drastic changes my body will be going through. One good thing I have realized is that even though usually my husband is not very helpful when i am ill (he thinks I am super woman and can do it all even with Pneumonia) He is determined to be at my beck and call for nearly a week out of surgery. He has been uncharacteristically supportive and kind. I hope it doesn't end anytime soon!

I had my pre-op class today. Very informative. Everyone was so great about answering all of our questions. I am getting so excited I can hardly stand it! The new diet lists were a little intimidating but I believe I can handle it. I just love the way Dr. Johnells people get stuff done so effeciently. I know I have a long road ahead but it will be all worth it! Nearly 3 weeks left! WOO - HOO !

Woo Hoo ....I did it ! I lost 20 lbs and completed all my pre op requirements and got my surgery date. We are all set for September 23, 2010 ! Yay ! Pre op class on Monday and then its just a matter of waiting. I wasn't sure I would succeed. I was afraid because I want it so badly that something would come up to stand in my way but here I am ! 3 1/2 weeks from now and I will begin the great journey to my new body to go with my new life and my healed soul. Thank you God for all the help cause I can never do it alone! Excitement is oozing out my ears!

I am getting so excited. It's hard just watching the clock. I have lost 10 pounds with 10 more to go and I've completed my first month of requirements with two months to go. I joined a fitness center and have finished my second week with 10 more to go. We are looking at surgery right around the beginning of August. My hubby and I are going to see Rush in concert on Aug. 16th for his Birthday so I defiantly want to wait until after that.  I am still so impatient ! Once I hit the 100 pound mark my husband promised to get me a tattoo. I am so excited about this also! Can't wait! I hope  time continues to fly.

So, I've been learning a lot. I've checked out healthier low/no carb ways of eating. I began protein drinks twice daily. I've made progress on my requirements and done a lot of reading up. I love this web site and how easy it has been to find support and advice. I love how everyone is genuinely concerned for one another and I love the great help that the health tracker tab has been. I weighed myself in this morning and was pleased to find I have lost 9 pounds already. How ???? I wish it was this easy for me to loose it all. Hopefully the next 11 pounds goes this easily. I cant wait to have the surgery. I've got my mind set now and nothing is going to change it ! God give me the strength I need to see this thing through. Give me the peace at heart to always be able to hear your plans for my life. Give my family rest from all our drama and Lord, bless my on line friends...those I know and those left to meet.........IJCIP
