I had my first consult today. The good news is I am a perfect candidate for the LAP BAND but there are some tasks to complete first. I have psych evaluations and a nutrition eval to complete. I have to take a sleep test and get an ECG and get clearance for my heart. I have to limit myself to 1 diet Pepsi a day !!!!! Ouch! It will all take 3 months as I consult a fitness program and TRY to loose 20 lbs. Thats going to be a tough one. I am asking for surgery because I can't loose the weight. If I could I wouldn't need surgery !!! How in the world can I loose 20 lbs.!!!!! HELP !!!!

I just got my first consultation appointment ! I had initially wanted a gastric bypass but because I have Medicaid insurance I was put on two 6 month waiting lists. Boy, was I disappointed ! Then I recieved an email from Greeley Bariatric clinic and they informed me that medicaid pays for Lap Band surgery AND they had no waiting list! My first consult will be on May 4th for 2 hours. I am so excited ! I realy think that this will change my life. I am a year away from graduating college with my bacholors in Healthcare Administration, I have done alot of changing within myself and now I am ready to be rid of this weight and all of the excruciating pain that goes along with it ! Oh to be able to sleep through the night again, or make love to my husband. My life before this weight I hiked the mountians all summer long and rock hunted crystal at Devils Head. I spent days swimming the lake and fishing Pouder River. I used to roll around in the grass with my son. Oh, how Idlove to WALK him to the park without doubling over in pain! I AM SO EXCITED I CAN HARDLY WAIT !!!!
