Tessie~ You'll do great, remember God is Good! I am 12 days post-op and know how you feel. Just think, in two weeks you'll be sending words of encouragement to someone else. May God bless you and your surgeon on this most wonderful day. ~Tina~

Tessie, I am exactly three weeks post-op and it was the best decision, next to marrying my wife, that I have ever made. I just got back from my PCP and I am now down 46 pounds. Those last minute fears are normal. I think my 9 year old daughter was more scared than I was. She thought I was going to come home 200 pounds lighter and she would not recognize me. Talking to people on this site made things a whole lot easier for me also. If you have any questions or concerns please e-mail me. Good luck with everything.

Tessie, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I have been there. I had surgery just over six months ago (by two days that is) and it was the best thing I have done for myself. IF you want an angel that is long distance, e-mail me (KateHaugen@yahoo.com) and let me know. I will be happy to update everyone on how you are doing. If you just need to ask questions or vent I can be there for that as well. You are NOT alone. weather in written form or in thought the people here at AMOS are thinking about you! ((HUGS))

Dear Tessie - I know how you feel. I'm too scared to even set up the consult. I'm pretty sure that my insurance will approve the procedure. I have four kids (10, 8, 6 and 3) and I can't stand to think of what would happen to them if I take a chance and something bad happens to me. But I also want to loose weight and be able to keep it off to keep up with them. I'm still up in the air but keep coming to this site hoping to work up the nerve to actually make an appointment.
