Well Im so confused about how this new system works in here .. *L* I was trying to post and put it in my story instead .. so I was trying to cut and paste, and well it didnt work .. So anyways, my post for today is down under my story ..

Hi all,
I am doing great .. I go to the dr tomorrow and I will get my weight and see what all he has to say then .. Im excited .. It has been 6 months and what a journey it has been ..
I went on a four wheeler on Sunday and drove it myself .. WOW !! I had sooo much fun .. I never would have done that before and losing weight is definitely helping me to do things that I never would have been able to .. I love it !!
My kids love the energy that I have now and I can keep up BETTER with them .. LOL
Work is crazy .. WE have been sooo busy .. Good though .. hehe ..
We all had a great Halloween .. Hopefully everyone else did too .. I will post more after my dr appt tomorrow ..

10/06/06 WOW .. Im at 204 now .. My first personal goal was getting under 200 .. Im almost there, so Im beyond excited !!!!
Im doing really good .. Just busy busy with kids and life .. My boys are playing football, so my week/weekends is football .. WHICH I LOVE btw .. hehe !!!
All my kids are on fall break right now .. for a whole dang WEEK and 2 days .. Im like hello, we never got 'fall break' for crying out loud .. *L*
Well anyways, just wanted to update on my weight and hopefully everyone is doing good .
I have to try to figure out how to get a recent pic up here for sure !!!
08/15/06 Hi ya'll ... An update : I went into the hospital around June 16th and didnt get out until July 14th .. I was in there a whole month .. Let me tell you how yucky that was .. I couldnt hold anything down and I was in starvation mode .. They ran every test imagineable, but couldnt figure out what was wrong .. I did have surgery while I was in there and they took out my gall bladder along with exploratory surgery .. They still couldnt find out what was causing me to be sick constantly .. Finally the day before I was released my central line came out on its own and I stopped taking all my meds .. Well for some reason not taking all my meds cured me .. I told him the next day that I was going home .. He released me against his better judgement, but I have been doing alot better since then .. I finally lost 8 lbs this last week after being on a plateau ever since I got out of the hospital .. I have lost a total of 66.5 lbs since May 8th .. I feel alot better and can finally get some foods down without being sick .. I havent ventured out too much because Im still worried about getting sick , but hopefully over time I will start losing and start being able to eat some different foods .. I was very frustrated about not losing any weight and definitely thinking this surgery was NOT worth it .. Im trying to have a better mindset and hopefully things will start progressing more now that Im back in the swing of working, having my kids back every other week, etc .. I do take my protein daily and I do excersice daily and I do get my liquids in , so Im doing everything that Im supposed to .. *shrugs* , guess we will see what this next month brings !!! ...

06/09/06 Wow, it has been awhile since I have been on here .. Well I ended up getting a staff infection and they had to cut my incision open and leave it open so that it could heal from the inside, out .. The bottom part of the incision opened itself to allow the infection in the bottom to come out , so it is just a big mess .. I have probs eating and stuff, and feeling like crap, but Im really hoping that it has to do with the setback of the incision .. Hopefully I will be able to eat normally soon ..
On a brighter note, I've lost 46 lbs and am now down to 247 .. Well I will post more later .. Everyone take care !!
05/11/06 I had my surgery at Renaissance on Monday 05/08/06 .. I was there until Wed around 10:00 am or so .. It was a WONDERFUL experience .. They are awesome there .. The rooms are huge and very private .. It isnt as 'busy' as most big hospitals, so that gives you the air of more ONE ON ONE .. I loved it .. Dr Rod is awesome and my surgery went really good .. :)
Ill post more when I feel a little more up to it !!! ..
04/26/06 Well today I found out that my ins will allow me to have the surgery at Renaissance so Im scheduled for 05/08/2006 .. Im so excited !! .. I have tons to do !!! YAYYYYYYYY .. :)
04/20/06 Well I know for a fact that my insurance will cover my surgery and I dont have to be approved .. WOOHOO .. Im so excited .. So my tentative date is 06/14/06 .. I would love for it to be SOONER .. *L* I still have my pulm clearance stuff to do on Wed of next week, but other than that Im good to go !! .. I CANT WAIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
04/14/06 I did my echo and my stress tests on Monday .. Oh my goodness .. Those were hard .. Then on Wed I did my psych eval and my meeting with Ginnie the personal trainer .. I started my workouts yesterday and Im just EXCITED !!! Im beyond impatient and I know that Im driving EVERYONE that I know and that is close to me nutso !!! HEHE .. :)
04/07/06 I went to my orientation with Dr Rod's office .. Wow what a day .. They give you soo much information it is AMAZING .. They sooo have their stuff together there !!!
I found out the surgery will be more towards mid JUNE .. *L* ..
They are very booked up .. He is a very busy man !!
I have alot of tests to do .. I have them all scheduled though .. Hopefully by two weeks my letter to the insurance will be going out .. :) Right now it is a waiting game .. I will update more when I know more !!!
03/14/06 I have my 'orientation' on April 5th with Dr. Rod's office .. Then after that, they put the paperwork thru to the insurance for a pre-determination letter .. so surgery would prob be around my b-day .. 1st of may or so .. :) Please pray for me that I get approved !! ..
03/07/06 I have only ONE week left until I am eligible to put the paperwork thru for the surgery .. I cant WAIT ya'll ..!!
12/08/05 I have gotten off my insurance, and my husband's insurance .. I started a new insurance called United American .. I have to be on it for 6 months before they will let me get the surgery .. March 14, 06 is my six months marker .. I cant wait to get there so that I can have the surgery .. Please pray that it works and that I will be able to get surgery .. We moved in our new home and Im seeing my kids alot more finally .. Very happy about all that .. I have lost about 15 lbs since my last update, so that is a good thing .. :) ..
06/03/05 My husband's insurance changed to Aetna HMO and I was in his benefits yesterday just thumbing through his benefits and then thumbing through his exclusions (I had called and they had told me that yes he had the exclusion for the surgery) .. Well there it was in bold , EXCEPT if pre-authorization from Aetna HMO .. I was like OMG .. YAYYYY .. SO I sent the Wylie Barix Clinic the front and back of my insurance card and they are going to resend the packet out to my insurance and see what they say .. Im soo hoping ya'll .. !!!!!
02/27/05 I was so upset .. They called and told me that my plan here at work ALSO (cuz my hubby's does too) has a stupid exclusion clause in it .. therefore they cant do anything to help me .. Im totally bummed out .. Im going to the guy that makes the insurance decisions and beg him to change the exclusion for when we renew in Sept .. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR ME PLEASE .. :) !!!
Im 28, 294 lbs, and 5'2. I have been overweight basically my whole life .. I want this surgery to change my health .. Im always sick , hurting and tired .. I went to the interview thing with the Barix Center in Wylie on 02/18/05 .. They seem to know what they are doing .. Just doing the things that I was told to do by Dr. Hall .. Will update as I go along .. :)
