The reason I finally decided to go ahead with this surgery is my children! Back when we were stationed in Texas, I went through all of the counseling and then backed out when I heard the mortality rate. Well, my weight skyrocketed even further when we moved to Germany, therefore, compelling me to rethink my doubts! I really didn't want to end up another "heavyweight" statistic. Besides, everyone in my family that was overweight had some serious chronic illness...not to mention that all the overweight women on my moms side died of breast cancer...that would leave anyone reeling with indecision!
So here I am, I finally joined obesityhelp.com with the encouragement of my friend Christy who is WLS champion. I needed the support and continued advanced knowledge on how to live this "renewed" lifestyle.
I am 5 months post-op and have lost 84lbs. so far. Can't wait to get it all of so I can get my long awaited...ahem...boob job! LOL!
