...and 50 Lbs less! I feel great even if I'm not losing super fast and I've hit a plateau since about a month now. I just emptied my closet and don't have much left, so I guess I'll reward myself with new clothes in smaller sizes when I get over this plateau. I exercise 6 days a week: 2 days of weight lifting with a personal coach and 5 days of cardio on the elliptical or swimming when I feel like it! Amazingly, I enjoy exercising now. I thought that was just something impossible...!

...and feeling great. Ok...a bit under the weather today thanks to this bug my daughter gave me, but my weight loss still goes in the right direction, even though I have not exercised as much as I usually do this week. I've lost 33 Lbs as of today, so it's 40% of my excess weight! BMI-wise, I'm 5 Lbs away from going from obese to overweight....love the idea!
I think 1 fill put me at the sweet spot. It's amazing. I'm never hungry, and hope it will stay that way for a while!

I got my first fill yesterday, and I'm on liquid since the day before....I had to come here and vent out or I'll something more substantial! I'm glad tomorrow I can finally eat again, even if it's mushy. How did I manage to do it post-op for so almost 2 weeks? Honestly, I'm amazed by myself! A pat in the back was necessary today, so I don't do stupid things....!

...and feeling great ! I've lost slowly, but pretty regularly and I am now down 21 Lbs. I feel so much more energy than 2 months ago. I didn't get a fill yet, because I feel like as long as I'm losing, I should keep on working it out without a fill. I already got stuck a couple of times, just because I forgot to chew....stupid, I know... But I learned my lesson, and last time it happened was a while ago. If I get a fill, it might be more difficult to avoid, and it scares me quite a bit....Also, as i want to get my fills done in Mexico, I'm worried about having to go back in emergency for an unfill. So I'm still thinking :Mexico or more local for my fills?...
And lastly, the more saline water in the band, the more risk of erosion. So of course, I'll eventually get a fill, but 1Lbs a week is OK for me. Not fast, but OK. Maybe a slow loss will also help to avoid the hanging skin...yuck!
Looks like I'm the turtle in this race, but I still might win!

Hi everybody!
It's the first time I post , and it's just to tell you how great my experience with Dr Kuri was in Tijuana. Just before I would make up my mind on chosing a doctor, I was looking for that kind of post...so maybe it will help some other people in their research phase...
Of course I had spoken/emailed many people who had been there already, but as long as I not had been there myself, I wasn't sure. Actually, all went exactly as described by my patient facilitator and Dr Kuri's other patients. The hospital Angeles is spotless, they don't lack any piece of equipment, all the doctors take really great care of you, are very competent and concerned by your health. All the nurses were wonderful too.
I'm now 4 days post-op, and I feel really great. I never experienced any pain during my time at the hospital as they inject pain medication as needed through your IV until the last hour before they release you. And after that, the pain is really light, more like you had done a bunch of crunches than anything else!
Thanks to the clear liquid post-op diet, I already have lost 6 Lbs...Yepee!
I'll keep in touch!
