Just a little sad
Jan 18, 2009
I am really sad-I had posted earlier that my hear medication was cut in half-not happening-my heart is not ready for a smaller dosage yet--I have seen a great decrease in the heart rate-but just not there yet. Maybe in 3 more months-I can try a smaller dosage-until then-keep taking the medicine and keep exercising.

50 is new 20!!
Jan 14, 2009
Well today I have hit the 50 lbs mark-actually 51!! I never thought that I could lose 50 more less 30-I have lost 25 on weight watchers but gained 35 back-lol. Everbody tells me I look skinny-I have to stepback and say no I am getting healthy--I hate the term-skinny. I am by no means skinny or slim-trust me I still have more rolls then a bakery!! But what I do see is my self confidence coming towards the front of the line and I feel like life is good right now. After having a crappy 2007 going into 2008-I hope that 2009 will be better it already has started that way-I have made changes-including exercising between 3-4 days and 30 or more minutes-I have notice that it takes longer and harder pushing from my body to break a sweat where before I cold walk in place for 2 minutes and look like I ran 2 miles. I do not know what the future holds but this weight loss surgery I have to say has been the best thing I have ever done for myself--I feel like I am getting a second chance at life and you can guarantee I am using everyday to the fullest!! Next in line will be rock climbing!! Lord be with me!!

Not so sweet anymore!
Nov 09, 2008
Well it is official--my medical doctor has taken me off all diabetic medicine and insulin-I was so happy-blood pressure was perfect and heart rate was 74-he hopes when I go back in January he can reduce the heart medicine-he also wants to do the A1C test again and I hope it will be below 6.7 which it was the last time right before surgery. Today I reached my 30 lb mark-yeah!! I am excited-my husband reached his 50 lb mark yesterday-he is much more active and says he feels lot better like a new man-as for me-I am starting to feel better as when I get up in the morning-not a lot of aches anymore and when I bend over that is alot easier-this journey has been interesting and a learning process. But the big picture-it has all been worth it--"long" breast and all--lol
