A Little about me! I am a 49 year old RN with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. I have epilepsy.  I never had a issue with weight until after my 3rd child and my tubal although I must say after my second child weight loss was more difficult but not inpossible. Throughout the years I gained weight here and I gained weight there. I have done every weight loss and pill probably in the book. I would lose some of the weight only to gain back 3x more! I became heavier and heavier and lazier and lazier! I got so it hurt so much to do housework I just didn't do it! I would hire my daughters or someone to do it! I guess what made me really sit up and pay attention is when I broke my left ankle in August! I was going down my front steps when I fell! When I was laying on the ground with my ankle flopping the only thing I could think is how am I going to get up with out calling 911! I could see a vision of the poor emt's that I had worked with trying to get me off the ground! My wonderful son-in-law and my fantastic husband managed to get me up using a chair from our kitchen! I cried all the way to the hospital, not only from pain, but from the realization that something had happened to me throughout the years that I had no control over, I am a very controling person, I had become morbidly obese!!! God I never thought I would ever say that! I made up my mind I would lose weight!!! I spent the next 6 weeks hopping on my right leg with a walker carrying 297lbs, now if you think thats fun try it! Put all your weight on 1 leg and hop not in place but to your bathroom, lean on someone like you would a walker! Its truley an enlighting experince! Again I dieted. I succeded for short periods of time. My PCP told me finally " Regina weight loss is harder for you then others. Your premenopase, you take 600mgs of dilatin for seizure control! You will have to work harder then most!" When I was riding home one night with Robbie and Wendall, two other nurses, Robby stated "Regina why don't we check into lapband surgery? I'll do it if you will!"  I got home that night 11/06/2006 and found this place!!! That was a begining of a new life for me!! The next morning I called Becky Wilson at Baptist Oxford and said what do I have to do!" She gave me a list and here I am 5 days post-op!!!!!!!
