HePaid4That
I guess this is the beginning. Like everyone else here I've been big my entire life. When I was a kid I had to lose 8 lbs to play football in the 3rd grade. The next year, although in the 4th grade I played on the 5-6th grade team, etc. So began the journey.
Overall I have probably lost 400lbs on various diets...and gained back 500! I put on the vast majority of my weight during graduate school. Over those 2 years I put on 85lbs and have been trying to get it off for the next 18 years.
So here I am two weeks from surgery. Part wishing it is over with, part having way too much to do before surgery that I wish I had more time. I run a small business with 7 others counting on me. So part of the challenge for right now is getting everything in place for not just my own family if something goes wrong but also for the other 6 so that they could continue the business and their livelihoods in case there are complications.
I have peace about the surgery, just being prudent.
Like most of you, I've been through many emotions. There was that season of eating everything that I knew I wasn't going to eat. At this point I'm just sick of food and am looking forward to getting a jump start on the weight loss.
So moving forward. Blessings!!!
