Hello Everyone! My name is Gina. I live in North Dakota. I am 35, in a long term relationship with someone that thinks I hung the moon. My two boys are ages 16 and 7. My oldest son is a junior in high school, taking online college classes, has a part-time job and a full time girlfriend. With his schedule and mine, we dont see each other as often as I would like. He recently started his own paranormal study group, DPRS, stands for Dickinson Paranormal Research Society. He and his friends frequent local cemetaries in hopes to answer some paranormal questions. My youngest son is in 2nd grade. Even though he is 7 he is still my 'baby'. He is very opinionated and not afraid to speak his mind. I am always told he looks just like me.
I have been struggling with my weight for the last 17 years. I remember being in high school and weighing 135 pounds, and thinking "gosh, I could stand to lose a few pounds". I suppose you dont see the forest for the trees so to say. I am now weighing in at 285. This however is not my heaviest. This is what I would call my 'steadiest'. I have been holding steady at this weight in what seems forever.
I finally found a wonderful Bariatric Surgeon in Bismarck, North Dakota. Dr. Brandon Helbling and his team are some of the nicest people. They have eleviated alot of my fears.
I am hoping to reach out and connect with others out there that have been here where I am. I would like to hear from people who are coming to the decision to have WLS, who are having WLS, who have had WLS, and who have been maintaining since WLS. I would like to see the whole spectrum. It really adds to the whole experience.
Well, wish me luck on this start of my new journey unto the unknown!
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it. Good day.
