Dear Jennifer............I think Mary Huges is right. It's the green eyed monster at work. Your brother knows the disappointment of dieting only to gain it all back. His frustration was just boiling over that day. Even though he isn't in a place to support you, you can support him by going through with it and showing him what a life saver this surgery is. I also have relatives that are just like your brother and play amateur doctor, if anyone needs malpractice insurance they DO! LOL

hon sometimes the people that are against us are the ones that are jealous because you have had the courage to do something that will change you life and they don't like that .so son't let your brother or anyone else steal your joy because they will if they can my prayers are with you

I hope that God keeps his angels close to you during your surgery and recovery. GOD BLESS YOU and please use your surgery as a tool to help others who suffer from morbid obesity.

Hi Jennifer "Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, any one can start from now and make a brand new ending." "Each of us has an inner dream that we can unfold if we will just have the courage to admit what it is. And the faith to trust our own admission. The admitting is often very difficult." ~ Julia Cameron "The block of granite which was an obstacle in the pathway of the weak becomes a stepping-stone in the pathway of the strong. That block of granite is often nothing more than a decision." ~ Thomas Carlyle "Being yourself is not remaining what you were, or being satisfied with what you are. It is the point of departure." ~ Sydney Harris It's never too late to be what you might have been. ~ George Eliot May you always have an Angel by your side. Watching out for you in all the things you do. Reminding you to keep believing in brighter days. Had to tell you how much I love your site! It is very soothing! I read your profile, and found that we share many of the same thoughts. It is interested how you spoke of being "held prisoner" in your body! I have written the same thing. And we also have the same DATE! It will be here before we know it. Congratulations on your decision. I wish this surgery was available to me when I was 28, but that's ok, I probably wasn't ready for it anyway. Sometimes I can be a very slow learner. God bless you & everything you do!
