Hi Jennifer! I feel for ya because I am on DAY ONE of quitting! I am having surgery on August 30th and it's time I stop. I have been smoking for 16 years though. Here's what I'm doing . . . My doctor prescribed Zyban and also told me to use the patch at the same time. The first week, you should smoke while taking the Zyban. It takes a week for the medicine to work into your system. After that week, set a quit date and then QUIT! Put on a patch, and you're good to go. I also invested in some " fake plastic cigarettes " that I ordered from www.ciganot.com They are VERY true to life and I puff on that when I feel I need to smoke. It does have a hint of flavor so, it keeps my hand busy instead of shoving food into my face! I hope this helps and let me know if there's anything I can do to help! Blessings to you ~ A Fellow Quitter! †
