Time is drawing near. I went for my final pre-op visit with Dr. Bour (he is too cute), had my labs, chest x-ray, EKG and nutrition visits today. I started at 10 am and finished up around 2:30. A very exhausting day going from office to office but it was well worth it. I start my low carb diet tomorrow. It doesn't seem to be too bad but we'll see. I found out from Dr. Bour that I will be able to take a shower the day after surgery as long as I promise not to drink the water! :-) His patients can nothing by mouth for 2 days. I've talked with post-op patients and they say that wasn't a problem. Hope I'm as lucky. My Dr. only does 2 surgeries a day, Monday - Wednesday and I got a chance to meet the other patient today. She's really nice and I'm sure we will be walking the halls together. By the way, I had to take my before photo today. The program coordinator is going to e-mail my photo and then I can post it.

Jodie, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. May peace and love surround you on your journey and carry you along safely. Remember to drink your water, take your vitamins, walk daily and most importantly, be gentle with yourself along the way. Lastly, don't forget to stop by occasionally and update your profile.
