I had my two week follow-up appointment yesterday. According to my scales at home I am down 14 pounds but the scales at the doctor showed only 9. At least it's down and not up. I've done OK. Yes, there have been moments when I have wondered what I have done, but all things considered it's been good. I haven't been hungry!!!! and that excites me. I did learn that I was allergic to all adhesives so my surgical sites don't look so great but they are improving. My variety of food is pretty limited but mostly because I'm scared to try new things. I know that will change soon too. Dr. Luttrell told me yesterday to call him in a few weeks and schedule my first fill. He said I would know when I was ready because I would be hungry. My mom asked me yesterday if I was glad I had the surgery and without hesitation my answer was yes. I am glad and know that there are better things to come.

Here I am sitting in my office trying to catch everything up before the big day on Monday and the surgery center calls and says there is a problem with the insurance. OMG...I can't decide if I should scream or throw-up. I choose to call the insurance company and ask what the deal was. They are  now working with the surgery center to try and fix this. I already have a case of nerves simply because the surgery is scheduled for Monday and now this. Sweet Stacy at the surger center assured me she thought this was all going to work out for me. As of this moment we are still planning for me to arrive at 9 and surgery at 10.   I'll keep you posted.
