Hanging in there
Jan 15, 2008
It has been little over a month now and things seem to be going well. I was having terrible pain in my left side and called the doctor on 2 occasions about the pain but was told tot ake it easy and take pain meds so that is what I ended up doing. Thankfully the pain went away about 3 weeks post op. It was amazing because it just seemed to be gone.
Now I am just hanging in there waiting for my first fill which is scheduled for 01/22/08. I am not going back to Dr. Ortiz because the expense of getting there is much more than just having it done here at Laproscopic Surgeons of S.F. The cost of the fill is $375 under fluoroscopy. That is steep but work it to me because I have price shopped in my area and that is a price if you want it done with fluroscopy. I especially want to see what is going on in there since I did have a lot of left side pain up to 3 weeks after surgery. I am really excited about my first fill. I cannot wait.
Update on my weight. I lost approx 20lbs since surgery w/the post op swelling and the liquid restrictive diet. I not lost any weight, actually gained then lost 2 pounds since then. Over time I become more and more hungry and find myself still making good choices in food but eating a lot more of them than I would like to. Of course this is because I do not have restriction that I can eat more. Once I have a fill, or two, or three and have restriction that I will be able to control my portions better. For now just hanging in there trying to eat healthy and not gain back what a lost. Oh, but I did have a suprise this morning when I weighted my self. I had lost 2 pounds. I must be doing something right!
Hanging in there until I am out of "Bandster Hell". I know I can make it.
