Hi, Amanda: I just wanted to say that I don't think it's too late for you. You can get up, dust yourself off, and get started again. I think that's the problem we have with dieting when we're pre-op; that we failed at the diet, so we just give up. YOU MUST NOT GIVE UP ON YOURSELF! Ok, you had a little set-back. You know that, and you've beat yourself up for it. Now it's time to forgive yourself and move on. Get back to the "Pouch Rules" and I know you'll start to lose again. Come on, Sweetie! Show that bad old food that you're stronger than it is! It can't control you any longer. Go ahead and jump right back on that protein train! Having said all this, will you remind me of all this when I get to this point??? I'm only 4 1/2 weeks out and still on soft mushy foods LOL!

~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

Don't be so hard on yourself. It is hard for most of us the first few months. It was month 4 or 5 before I was free of occational sickness from eating. Your tummy will heal and you will be able to eat and tolerate more nutritious foods. In the beginning I had to use slimfast for meal replacements (breakfast) to get my nutrients in. Today, my slimfast days are over.... thank God! You will feel hungry if you are not getting enough protien which it sounds like is the case. Try having hot wings with blue cheese dressing or tuna fish or chicken salad. I would usually have those for a late lunch/dinner and would fill up real fast. Now I am one year post-op. If I snack it's usually on cheese or a Balance bar. Hang in there!

Hi Amanda, To answer your question to todays post. YES, I had side pain for awhile. I think it was on my left side. also back pain. this must come with having wls. I hear most people mention it onetime or another. As fast as it came fast as it left. so hang in there. Hugs
