Almost 7 weeks out

Today I'm just 2 days shy of the 7 week mark, I feel terrific, 40 pounds gone, and just can't believe it, I don't really know what size i'm fitting into but I know my 16's are falling off, and all my work scrubs fit differently, most of my tops are way TOO big!!!!!!!!! This is very exciting for me. Makes alot of the little things seem like so much less.

I has been 4 weeks today and 30 lbs. Wow I can't believe it. I am back at work and feeling okay. It's a challenge to get through the shift after about 6 hours. but that will improve with time.

I'm trying something new, I created an account on fitday.com, seems like I may be able to track my protien intake better. We will have to see how it goes.

So I'm about 2 weeks out from surgery and I'm feeling pretty good. No more pain, and I'm moving around very well, I'm back to work in about 5 days or so, not sure how I feel about that yet we will have to see.

Well I'm back from the hospital, and boy do I hurt! I was not expecting this much pain. I get the pain ball out tomorrow and we will see how things go. I'm just drinking away trying to keep up my water intake and get a little protien from skim milk.

So here I am, my last night at work, will be fasting in a few minutes for labs in the AM. This is it I'm so excited and nervous. Going to get all my stuff packed up and ready to go when I get home in the morning. I know I will sleep on Tuesday night but don't feel like I will right now. Its almost like a dream, I'm so excited to be on the brink of a new way of life

7 more days till the big day. Wow, I can't believe it all the pieces are falling together, of course i'm still trying talk to someone at the doctors office. I have to tell them "If I don't here back from you by X time I will by the office to find out" That usually gets me a call back. I'm at the point of who cares now! I know when and where to show for my pre-op.

Well here it is about 2-3 wks until my big day.....They want to change my date a week earlier, I have to talk to my boss about that. My leave is supposed to start on 16 Apr, my first surgery date. I'm excited, but I'm in the process of moving as well and had it all planned out. Yikes!! Also I can't get the docs office to fill out the leave of absence paperwork and was supposed to turn it in this past Wednesday.......
So anyway, now I'm excited.....my life is changing for the better, but nervous cuz its a real tangible thing now and so close. Is this normal? I hope so!

I've got a date 16 Apr 2008, but now I have to get the surgeons office to fill out the leave of absence paperwork. This part is a trial! They are not very forthcoming on when I can come in to have it filled out, and I'm not leaving it with them, it might get lost! So i'm still frustrated!!!

Well, what can I say but thank goodness for the internet, I have been approved by the insurance for my WLS. Yeahhh!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I just need a date from my surgeon. I will be burning up the phone lines on Monday so that we can get the FMLA and all the good stuff set up!
