missyd
I am 32 years old and my mom had this same surgery about 3 months ago now, going to all her meetings and classes I decided that this was something I definetly wanted to do. I was nearly 400 lbs and very unhappy. I also have a 10 year old daughter and I am missing alot being the size that I am. I cant ride the carnival rides with her, I worry about what her school mates say to her when I am at her school and worse of all I worry about how she is going to grow up and worrying that she is going to grow up the same way, that is what scares me most. I hope that my eating habits and new way of living will have a positive effect on her as well and make for a better way of life for her as well as myself.
I finally have had my surgery on June 22cd and have lost 27lbs so far. I am very happy so far and very excited about the next few months and what they will bring to me. I hope to make some new online friends and get some advice and maybe a few recipes and hints on how to get some protein in!!
Hope to get to know you all.
