Hello to all. It has been a quick 9 weeks and I am still doing great. I am down 37 pounds and I am doing well. My husband had the same surgery yesterday ~ exactly 9 weeks after me. He is at home and he is doing well. I have not had to get a fill yet so I am excited about that. Dr. Mattar said that I was loosing enough weight that I didn't need to get a fill at this time. I am eating about 2-3 oz of food at a time. I have to stay on a schedule because I really don't ever get hungry. I will check back in later

I went and seen Dr. MAttar today. Everything looked good. I am down 18.9 lbs since pre-op 12/22/07. That is awsome. I get to start eating pured food today but I am scared. I have been on liquids for 13 days now and I am scared to go back to eating food. I know that sounds stupid but I don't  want my bad to slip or get sick, Well I will let you know in a few days how it is going. 

It has been a good day. I am still sore on my right side but I am up moving all over the place. I am drinking 4 oz. of milk  in the morning and 6 oz protein shake at lunch and 4 oz mile in the evening. I drink about 25 to 50 oz of water a day. I knew this would be the hard part becasue I am such a picking eater. Out of all of my options this is what is has came to. I still have not gotten hugry so that is a good thing. I thought once I started fixing the family "real meals" again that it would be so hard but it hasn't been. I am so thankful for that. I think the food smells good but I am not hungry so it don't bother me. On Fridays we usually go out to dinner with some friends and last night we did. It went great. I sipped on some water andwe had great conversations. I was happy that noone make a big deal that I wasn't eating. Well I will update a little later

I am feeling a little better today. Wow a little more sore spots than what I expected. I am still on clear liquids and not hungry~ Yeah~ I went out to Wal-Mart and did a little shopping and I did Ok. Well I will try to update daily.

I had the lap-band done yesterday ~Thusday 12-27-2007. I got to come home this morning. Dr. Mattar said everything went well and I should have a quick recovery. I am very sore today. I have tried to walk quit a bit so hopefully that will help.

Well I am finally done. I was approved by my Insurance on Monday I seen Dr. Mattar on Tuesday and I am finally set for the LAP-BAND Surgery on December 27, 2007@ 7:30 am. I was in limbo since M-plan decided to cancel at the end of this year and I knew I would be done with all of my stuff that they required the 1st week of this month however I was told last month there would be no way that I could get it done because people that had m-plan and was done since September was still not scheduled.  I feel very blessed that I got approved and I am ready for this journey. I have 21 days to go ~WOW ~
