Had the minor surgery
Dec 30, 2009
The nurse in pre-surgery was a b---h from hell. the Dr. was late starting the daily surgies.and I was on hold for over 3 Hrs.
If we had not traveled for over 2 1/2 hrs. over there, I probably would not be annoyed. There didn't even take any blood work like they had told me.
I don't know if I'm annoyed with me more or them. Probably me.
Anyway my heart Drs. is finally going to stop some on the meds, then maybe I'll feel better and regain some strength and be able to walk a little more. I still have home health coming to the house. Will be so happy when my strength will be back.
Sorry I just really being a pain in my own back-side. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Boy was I wrong in thinking this. Anyway, on the 17th, the Dr will repair the damage and I'll be ago again on my journey. This will be the 5th time in the hospital in 14 months.
I have only lost 30lbs. but this is better then gaining the weight. My mind set is still positive . I've been frustated with myself for not be as healthy as I should be,but Wasn't this why I got the surgery in the first place. So there are a few ruff spots.
its life. .I'm still very glad that I had this surgery. I feel blessed that I have such good Drs. I have finally realized that when I have a problems I'll let them deal with it.
Anyway God is good. Life is good. It could have been much worse. and it's not.
Have a Merry Christmas to you all.

At the new Drs. office I went into full a-fib .They called 911 sent to hospital. I came very close the dying. This is what the Dr told my husband. Stayed in hospital for 8 days. Home I had Home Health with nusrse and P.T.
Things are not great, but I'm doing better now.
Would I do the surgery over again. YES. This has been a difficult journey, because of my medical problems, but this heart problem was already there, but no one picked it up with test.
I'm losing weight almost 2 months out have lost 24 lbs. Yes I'm a slow loser, but have always been, Down 2 pants sizes. I'm on the losers bench and working to be healhier. God is good.

Three weeks ago, I got a date for the surgery. Sept 21. went for pre-op visit ,then this Thrus. went for a nurtionist class for 4 hrs. I had alway knew alot because of the previous surgery, but this was very interesting, and was given a 287 book with all the information, that I could ever need. I'm sure through-out all this I'll still be asking questions.
This has been a roller-coaster ride since Feb. when he took out the lapband.
I know now I will follow the rules, for 3 weeks I have, and today my husband wanted it know If I wanted a pizza. I said no way ,but you can have it.
We are getting everything ready for Flagler , especially all my husbands needs, like oxygen.
Will be traveling up there on Sunday, so we can do a little sight seeing. I have always enjoyed going there,it's such a nice place to visit. The hospital is one of the best that I've been in. So I'm on my way an on this Monday, I'll have my surgery and will be on the losers bench.

And that my pulmonary Dr. needed to give a clarance as well. I told her my pulmonary Dr is also my pcp. Apparently she didnt. understand or I didn't. He has already written a letter of necessity for me months ago. I thought that would be clearence enough. O well, at least it is a step forward,
I'm happy and have been smiling since the call, even though I have a terrible ear infection. God is good.

Problem, he no longer took my insurance, and basically stated, to bad,but it would cost me $4000.00 then he would do it.
I didn't have that money and the Dr stated, you find another one who will remove it.
He wouldn't even help me find another Dr.
In Feb, I found one, within 12 hrs of seeing him ,had me in the operation room.Thank you Dr Marema.
I had to drive2.50hr by myself ,to the hospital, because my husband was on 6 liters of oxygen at the time. Two day later drove myself back home.
I had started the 6 months diet an soon will have rny surgery.
In the meantime I've had a mini-stoke, arthritis in hand, wore a soft cast on my hand. Temporarly, lost my hearing in both ears, had minor surgery on them. hearing is now back. Had biosy for cancer on face, that turn out with good results.
To day the least, this year has been a eye opener on my health, yes I will survive. Praying to have surgery rny within the month. After that will have surgery on my hand.
It's strange, but I believe God has been good to me. From the stroke I had lost temprorary arm ,movement, draging leg, memory loss. They have all come back ,I've exercised the arm, walked with the leg, and my poor husband, my memory had come back, so life is good.
