Life is Good
Aug 16, 2009
I'v been on the forums since 2004. then I had lapbnd surgery. This never did do well for me. It was either to tight and fluids had to be removed for months then back to fillings. Everytime this cost me $100.00, Have had over 30 filles and unfilles. Then it finally happened. They tried to refill it and coud'nt. Then the Drs tried, he did then filled it too much. Was vomiting all night. Had a upper GI test. The band was so tight ,I couldnt eat only vomited. He stated the it had to be removed. He again tried to unfill it,then was able to take a little out,but it needed to be removed.Problem, he no longer took my insurance, and basically stated, to bad,but it would cost me $4000.00 then he would do it.
I didn't have that money and the Dr stated, you find another one who will remove it.
He wouldn't even help me find another Dr.
In Feb, I found one, within 12 hrs of seeing him ,had me in the operation room.Thank you Dr Marema.
I had to drive2.50hr by myself ,to the hospital, because my husband was on 6 liters of oxygen at the time. Two day later drove myself back home.
I had started the 6 months diet an soon will have rny surgery.
In the meantime I've had a mini-stoke, arthritis in hand, wore a soft cast on my hand. Temporarly, lost my hearing in both ears, had minor surgery on them. hearing is now back. Had biosy for cancer on face, that turn out with good results.
To day the least, this year has been a eye opener on my health, yes I will survive. Praying to have surgery rny within the month. After that will have surgery on my hand.
It's strange, but I believe God has been good to me. From the stroke I had lost temprorary arm ,movement, draging leg, memory loss. They have all come back ,I've exercised the arm, walked with the leg, and my poor husband, my memory had come back, so life is good.
