Decided last November that if I could not lose at least thirty pounds in six months (I weighed 220) then I was going to have weight loss surgery. I did not really believe that I would have to have the surgery. After all, I quit smoking a year ago this last February! I always was able to lose weight when I put my mind to it.
Not anymore. I just gained more weight and then more. I had arthritis in my feet and couldn't really walk much. I was short of breath. I was embarassed to go outside. My clothes didn't fit. I gained some more. Now I am 250 pounds and I am going to have the surgery as soon as they let me. Medicare rules should allow me to have it in May or June.
