Sheri, You're right! The same thing happened to me. My pants go longer. I think it's because my big butt is shrinking! What a great feeling!

Hi..it is ME! I got home around 3 pm yesterday afternoon. I feel pretty good...other that 4 hrs of HE** last night after I drank some liquid Zithromax for what the doctor thinks is a little bronchitis. I had such an incredible feeling of fullness, chest, shoulder and neck discomfort (I had a lap---I assume that was some gas pain) and slight nausea. I couldn't take even a sip of water those 4 hrs. I was SO uncomfortable. I was ready to call the doctor when it just seemed to disappear. I took my liq Lortab for pain at 11:30 and slept like a baby all night. The only thing that I have had some trouble with as far as supplemental liquids is the Isopure drinks. The passion fruit tasted like liquid PLASTIC! OMG..it was awful and of course I burped it up for 2 hours after the few sips that I DID manage to get down. The no sugar added carnation inst breakfast is the best! On a more graphic note---I am burping ALOT and passing gas...but it ALWAYS accompanied by a bm. You know, the dark green, apple sauce consistency that just sinks to the bottom of the toilet...is that normal? In the hospital...they were dying my ice chips and water blue so they could see if I was leaking through my JP drain. That might be part of the reason for the lovely color of my bm's. Anyway...I am home safe and sound...I am so thankful......

Hi everyone!! I visited Sheri today and holy cow..she is doing so well!! She passed her leak test with flying colors and is up moving around better than I ever was. She has no nausea or vomitting and is in such good spirits. She walked down the hall to the lounge where there is a computer/internet connection and read all of your posts in response to this and was so happy. If everything continues to go well, she will be discharged Thursday.

I am Sheri's angel, Colleen. Sheri had her surgery today at 7am. I spoke to her around 4pm and she is doing so well. She had so much life in her and was so proud that she walked 50 feet just 5 hours or so after surgery. She is a lap patient but had come close to being open, so she says her first words in recovery were "Was it lap or open?" I will be visiting her tomorrow and will post an update after seeing her. Please send her your good healing vibes. Tomorrow will be a tough day for her with new pain.
