I'm half way there!!!!
Mar 09, 2009
I've lost 66 pounds and have 65 pounds to go (to my goal weight of 172)! I'm half way there!!!
I had to restart Jenny Craig after taking a month off though
(And yet again I gained weight
- pathetic I know!)
But I've been doing a weight loss challenge with my online friends and lost 6 pounds in two weeks! So now I'm 237 pounds.
Week 1: -4 pounds
Week 2: -2 pounds
So now I'm officially half way at my goal weight and no longer considered extremely obese on BMI charts. I'm just "obese". Not that that's good...but it's better than EXTREMELY obese, so I'll take it! LOL
NEW GOAL: To be down to 217 pounds by June 1st.
Lost 2.7 pounds this week!
Nov 26, 2008

So right now I'm 240.1 lbs with clothes (237.5 without).
9.3 pounds to go to meet my Christmas goal! I need to lose 2.3 pounds a week until Christmas to meet that goal!
Another 1 1/2 pounds!
Nov 20, 2008

So right now I'm 242.8 lbs with clothes (240.5 without).
12 pounds to go to meet my Christmas goal!
Another pound lost!

) but it's still a loss nonetheless! I lost 1 pound this week on Jenny Craig (week 4), for a total of 14.4 pounds.
So right now I'm 244.3 lbs with clothes (242.5 without).
13 1/2 pounds to go to meet my Christmas goal!
My goal for next week is to be down 2.5 pounds.
Another 2 1/2 pounds!

I lost 3 more pounds!
Oct 30, 2008

So I beat my goal of being down 10 pounds by Halloween! WOOHOO!!!

So now I'm 247.8 lbs with clothes (246 pounds without).
My goal for next week is to be down another 2 pounds!
As for my Christmas goal to lose 20 pounds by Christmas, I have 17 more pounds to go!
Lost 8 pounds this week!!!

The portion sizes of the Jenny Craig foods work perfectly with the Lap Band. I haven't been remotely hungry. The cravings for sweets are still killing me, but not nearly as bad as they would be without Jenny's allowable brownies and chocolate cake! LOL
The hardest day for me this week was at my daughter's Parent Committee meeting at her school. They had nachos, cookies, truffles, etc., etc. and I wanted some sooo bad. I didn't cheat even once though! I also passed up a peanut butter cookie and jelly beans this week too. I'm TERRIBLE with working out (or should I say my LACK of working out), but I did fantastic on my diet.
I now have 80 pounds to go until my goal weight of 172 pounds.
I am trying to lose 10 pounds (so 2.1 more) by the end of October. I'm doing a challenge with Marnika (coderedn504) - we're both trying to lose 10 pounds by the end of the month. Hi Marnika!!!
Keep up the great work girl!!!
My new goal (set by my Jenny consultant) is to lose 20 more pounds by Christmas (starting now)! My starting weight for that challenge is 250.8...so that would make me 231 pounds (230.8 lbs.). Anyone want to join me?
I'm so ashamed...time to face the music :(

I didn't follow the band rules (because they were MUCH too easy to beat). I warn anyone with a huge sweet-tooth like mine to go for the gastric bypass surgery INSTEAD of the Lap Band. With the Lap Band you can plain old eat as many sweets as you want without restriction. At least I can.

Right now I have 5 cc's in a 10 cc band and food (mostly breads) are getting stuck all the time. So the band is working...but boy, I'm not working the band rules. I sabotaged myself by still eating sweets and eating a WAY too much food in general. I should have gone the gastric bypass route but I didn't. Now I'm on my own...unless I can get the band to work (is it too late???) by staying strictly within the rules.
I joined Jenny Craig today to help me with my portion sizes. I am giving myself one year to lose 86 pounds. That will take me from 258 to 172 (the weight I was when I last felt really good about myself). That's 7.17 pounds a month. Surely I can do that. I absolutely HAVE to. I can't fail again.
I got my first fill!!!
Nov 26, 2007
I was expecting to have 4.5 cc's in a 10 cc band but I was only given a total of 3.5 cc's, so I was a bit disappointed by that. During my last appointment, Dr. Davey said that my band would have about 2.5 cc's of air in it and then he was going to replace the air with saline and then add an additional 2 cc's for a total of 4.5 cc's. But it turns out that I only had 0.5 cc's of air, so the doctor (it wasn't Dr. Davey...I can't recall his name) replaced the air and only added an additional 3 cc's. Originally he only put in a total of 3 cc's but I practically begged him to make it 3.5 instead, which he did!
The fill itself doesn't hurt at all. Poking the needles in my abdomen over and over again to find my port did though, even with the freezing! But now that my port is located, it should be pretty easy for future fills. The freezing stung a little bit when it first went in but just a tiny bit, nothing to worry about at all (and the stinging went away very quickly for me). The fill itself though (once my port was located) was completely pain free.
I even went home and had spaghetti for supper, so I'm still tolerating food really well! I am looking forward to my next fill though so I can have greater restriction, but this is a start!
WOOHOO!!! I'm down 50 pounds!!!
Nov 12, 2007
I'm so happy! I'm down 50 pounds now!!! WOOHOO!!!
48 pounds from my pre-op diet and another 12 pounds post-surgery!
So I'm about 1/3 of my way to my goal weight (another 101 pounds to go)!
I'm now half way to the Century Club too!!! YAY...GO ME!!!!
