300 pounds???

Oh my..was I wrong about my weight! Last week I guessed my weight at 280...I'm actually 300 pounds now!!!
How in the world did that happen??? I need this surgery so badly...my eating and sweet tooth is out of control! I'm getting desperate now! I'm practically holding my breath that Karen (Dr. Nohr's secretary) will call with a cancellation and fit me in sooner. I just can't wait 2 years just to have my consultation!!!
I met another lady named Elaine through this site though, so I'm grateful that I'm connecting with other RNY patients! We might even start a support group for WLS patients here in the Edmonton area. I think that would be wonderful...we all could be a tremendous support to each other! :)

WOOHOO!!! I'm so happy! Maggie just emailed me and told me that I might not have to wait nearly as long as I originally thought! Both her and her friend had their surgeries with Dr. Nohr bumped waaayyy up! She had a consultation within 4 months and her friend's was bumped up from Oct. 2006 to Nov. 2004! WOW!!! I'm so excited...and soooo nervous too!!! I need to do a LOT of research!!! Skinny me here I come!!!

I'm 31, 5'5" and about 280 lbs. I found out today that I am scheduled for a consultation with Dr. Nohr in Medicine Hat on Dec. 12/06!!! I was shocked that it'll take me over 2 YEARS just to have a consultation with him! It'll likely be another year until my actual surgery date! Wow, a 3 YEAR journey! Oh well, I've been overweight much longer than 3 years (more like my whole life!), so I guess I can try to be patient and wait. I'll use this time learning all I can about RNY surgery. I'm so glad I found this site!!! :)
