I was never real heavy until after I had my son in 1992. Then I struggles with my weight but was never over 190 lbs. I would lose and gain the same 30 pounds. Then I met and married my second husband and we had our first daughter and I tipped the scales at 220 when I delivered. The real battle then ensued. I never lost more then 15 lbs for the next three years. Then when I had my last daughter even though I gained very little, I put weight on after I had her. After a few years of trying every diet out there I decided to check into gastric bypass. At this point I was 34 and diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes. I had no energy, my ankles were always swollen and I was miserable with myself. When I walked into my doctor's office I weighed in at 285 lbs. I was mortified but knew I was doing something about it. I had laproscopic gastric bypass on 8/21/08 and I am so grateful. I have already lost 35 lbs. and feel so good. I am off of my blood pressure and diabetic meds. I feel good and I have so much energy. I thank God for this opportunity that He has given me and that I had an awesome surgeon and staff.
