Hi All, this is Tonyas' Mona She came though surgery, only 1 1/2 jour long, no problems, Doctor said she did better than he believed she would. Her mother was with her the whole time, When I told to her post-op she told me that she know all would be well, due to the night before she prayed and asked Debbie-her sister that was killed last year- to give her a sign if she was going to be with her--as they crossed the line into Alabama they started seeing big, bright beautiful Rainbows, three in all. One look to start at Debbie home place and end in Mobile at the hospital. If you know the story, this - we all believe means Debbie would be with her- so Tonya had her own Angel with her. Debbie was also with my Father durning his open heart surgery last year, 3 days after her death, Dad was not allowed to know about her death till 2 week after his surgery and when mom and Tonyas mom told him, they said he calmly told them She was with him durning his surgery. So we know she is watching after us. Anyway,the only problem she had was with the bloodsugar going to high, they put her on insulin, again, but know that she is home we have to watch her because her sugar has done the flip and is running on the low side. She said that the hospital workers were not as good there as they could have been, Aunt May did alot of work, She was to have 2 oz. of full fluids each hour, apple juice milk or ice cream, they left it in her room for 1/2 an day, Who wants to drink milk that hot and melted ice cream. She is home and doing well, goes but 7-7-03, to have her staples out. She is already down below 242lbs. Tonya has a good out look and I believe she will do well with the outcome. She is very excited and wants it to happen as soon as possible, the staples are the only down fall, they are uncomfortable, but they come out tomorrow. You won't get this until post-op because you're leaving for the hospital, but best of luck to you and keep us updated!

Well 4 days to the begining of my new life.I am nervous but moreanxious, I am having problems sleeping because of this.I had my appointment with the cardiologist like Dr. Ozment wanted and everything looks good.My mom has defently stated that she will be staying in Moble with me the whole time.That makes me feel better and if that is what will make her happy i have no problem with that.I have went ahead and made all the nessecery arrangements in case something goes wrong.I can't believe it is actually going to happen since I have been trying to have WLS since 1997, thats almost 6 years.I have tried to quit smoking but it has been hard with other smokers in the house but I have cut down alot.Either my angel or my son will post for me the evening of my surgery for me.So prayers be with all and me that will be taking a new road in life this day.

Finally, I have a twin sister. You and I are both having our procedures done on the same day. Good Luck to you.
