I finally had the surgery on 1/27/2011 with Dr. Kirshenbaum
. I have been contemplating this surgery for 5 years - every time my doctor brought it up I cut him off at the knees. Thinking I can continue to do the working out myself. Which I did faithfully.
I have been "fluffy" majority of my life and growing up you were not allowed to leave your plate empty.
Seminar after Seminar - I said ok... I can do this. I reached out to my brother who is no longer with us and he told me I should - and also said get your butt back in the gym because that is where I was always my best...
I am a single mother of 4 ages 21/16/11/5.. They are the reason I needed to be living for them. My lab work was fantastic it shows that I am a very healthy woman...
I have never been married and I believe my weight has a lot to do with that. But again that I only my fault for letting my brother’s death turn me into a human garbage disposal.
Every time I change my eating habits weight would come off (and would slowly come back) - but I really got tired of eating the same crap over and over again.
Now I am on my Journey to the new me and loving every minute of it.
I am 3 days post op with still some minor pain in my chest and occasionally in my shoulder - hopefully that goes away soon.
