RycheousBeginning
My name is Kim and I've been fighting my weight since my mid to late 20's. It wasn't always that way. In fact, when my measurements were 36-27-40 I thought I was fat. I wish someone would have slapped me silly back then. I enjoyed sports and I lived in the gym. I felt as though I could do anything. I was in my 20's and could wear a size 9/10. That was over 15 years ago.
I never thought in a million years that I would weigh over 300 pounds and have to shop in stores like Lane Bryant and Avenue. At my heaviest, I weighed 335 pounds. I was unhappy about my weight, afraid to go on any vacation that involved a beach, suffering from constant back and knee pain, and tired of all the diets that didn't work. I was also fearful about my future because I have a history of diabetes and high blood pressure in my family.
In the November 2009, everything changed. I had my surgery and I'm now on my way to a healthier life. Six weeks after surgery, I had lost 45 pounds. I'm looking forward to what 2010 will bring. I can't wait to post up my before and after photos!
