110 LBS LOST!!!

I am so excited that I've lost 100 lbs in 5 months and now I'm down an extra 10 lbs. It's amazing how many compliments I get each week at work. I love having my picture taken now. Shopping is such a joy since I'm able to shop in places like SteinMart, Kohl's, Dillards, etc without having to shop in the Womens/Plus area. I feel great and I'm so happy with the new me. Only 78 more lbs to go to reach my goal weight!!!!

SALAD!

Yeah, I had my first post surgery salad today. I've been somewhat conservative with my diet up until now. The salad consisted of spinach leaves, cheese, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and purple onions. I dabble with a little bit of balsamic dressing and a little bit of ranch dressing. I just couldn't help myself with the ranch dressing since it was always one of my favorites. Funny thing is, the balsamic vinaigrette tasted better than I ever remembered it so I actually dipped more in that one.  I'm proud of myself. Today was a good day! I even worked out after work.

OMG, I had a burger today!

I've been having a burger craving for the past couple of weeks. It's funny how you crave things sometimes. I haven't had a burger since about 2 weeks before my surgery. It was one of my "last meals". My last meal was a steak. 

Well today, I had my first post op burger. It was a turkey burger. I've always had beef burgers but never a turkey burger. A few people told me that it was leaner and healthier than beef burgers. Honestly, I didn't know such a thing existed. I was a little skeptical about it too. I'm proud to say that I like it! I toasted whole wheat buns, used about a teaspoon of mayo, one small leaf of romaine lettuce, one small slice of tomato, and slice of cheese. The patty tastes just as good as a beef burger without all the grease and fat. We made some small patties for me and regular sized one for my husband. I didn't have any sides, just the burger. I couldn't eat all of it but did eat most of it. When I got full, I stopped. I also didn't eat too much bread. I mostly ate the inside of the burger.

Restful Sunday

I can't believe my holiday vacation is almost over. I've been off since Dec 24th and I've enjoyed the stress free time away from the office. It's gone by rather quickly. Today is pajama day for hubby and I. We are relaxing in our pajamas while doing laundry and watching TV.

Last night, I worked out on my crosstrainer for 45 minutes. As my first strenuous cardio work out since my surgery, I over did it a bit. I was dehydrated and very tired. After drinking plenty of water to rehydrate myself and taking a shower, I felt so much better. 

Later today, I'll be doing my weights and floorwork. Hubby has been great about helping me through my workouts. He does them with me. I'm still sore from doing weights the other day. Hurts so good!
