Anyway back to my story, as I said I have always been overweight. As have almost all of my family. My mother had the same surgery that I am having 8-29-05 and my younger sister had the Roux-en-Y 8-28-06. I have had several cousins that have had the surgery also on both sides of my family. It has taken me a long time to get up the nerve to even go see the Dr. and check into this. I am excited about having the surgery now that I have seen so many in my family have success with the surgery. I went to the Dr. this afternoon and had my picture taken for my post-op visit and it will go into my file at the Dr.'s office I am ashamed to say! When the nurse was taking my picture she said to me "Deb, I can't wait to see where you will be in a year" that made me cry! I told her that I couldn't wait either and that I wanted a copy of that picture on my one year anniversary! I will come back to this website and post it for everyone to see! I am excited to get the surgery and to get past the healing part of the surgery. OK, now I am rambling so I am going to go for now. I will write more after my surgery. God Bless, Deb
