It's been awhile since I have posted.  I am currently 206.6 lbs.  I have lost 84lbs. I will try to catch you up on the haps.  Since I have a bad memory I won't be able to tell you the dates exactly.  But I did have a stricture early on.  They did a procedure to open that up.  When I went for my checkups with Dr Overcash, he was not happy with my weightloss.  I was losing very slowly.  I told him I was starving myself.  I was so nauseated (sp) I did not want to eat anything.  He didn't believe me so he did a metabolic study on me and sure enough my metabolism was at a crawl.  I needed to eat more so I can lose more.  So I sort of picked up the pace on my eating habits.  He also gave me some medicine for nausea.  That helped allot.

December

I went on a cruise in December with my boyfriend to celebrate our 2 year anniversary.  We had a great time.  I stuck to salads, seafood and fruit.  I did have a piece of pizza and a piece of sushi.  Yikes.   That was a mistake.  We went snorkeling.  I wore a tankini.   It was great!

January

New Years Eve I went to emergency care because I thought I had strep throat.  Turns out I had mono.  I am not sure how in the world this 37 year old got mono.  But I did.  And it sucked.  I was tired all the time and I had to take steroids.  Not good.

February

Early this month I went to Houston to visit my brother and sister.  It was my brothers birthday so we went to Mardi Gras in Galveston.  It was sooooo much fun.  It is a family friendly version of the New Orleans Mardi Gras.  We ate some awesome cajun food, raw oysters.  We also saw the parade and caught too many beads to count.  I went clothes shopping with my sister at Ashely Stewarts.  I love that store.  Everything I had was falling off of me.  I had no idea what size I was.  I can now wear a size 12 top and 14/16 pants.  Are you kidding me??  I don't even remember the last time I was in a 12.  Maybe at birth.

Last Week

I took a pregnancy test.  I am 10 weeks pregnant.  What the????!!!!  I am happy but I am shocked.  I was not expecting it.  But it's nice when God gives you an unexpected blessing.  My boyfriend is over the moon.  It is his first child.  This is my second.  All I can do is pray for healthy happy uneventful pregnancy.

I finally made it home on Saturday Septmeber 1st.  I was supposed to come home on Friday.   I swear I did not know how hard this was going to be.   After we had the leak test, I had to go back down and have it again.  The radialogist made me drink a cup and a half of that stuff.  Not a dixie cup full but a fuuulll cup and a half.  No leak but  was sick as a dog.  I was throwing up bile.  I could not stop throwing up.  It was awful.  My blood pressure was out of control.  I have never had high blood presure.  I had to have 4 blood transfusions.  I tell you, this was quite a ride. Thank God I am alive and recovering fine.  

I had my stitches and staples taken out.  OUCH!!  And I had my tube removed.  If I were not a christian, I would have punched out the nurse who removed my tube.  That thing hurt like heck fire.  The tube was so long I think it ran down to my toes.  It hurt.

I lost allot of weight very fast.  Then I stopped for about a week.  I have lost 30.5 pounds.  I think that is excellent for almost a month out.  I am having really bad nausea.  I dry heave all the time.  I am not sure why but I guess it is normal.  I am having food issues.  Everything makes me nauseaus.  But I am doing what I can to get things in my stomach.  I will update you more later.  Sorry for such a blah update but I am feeling kinda blah.

I had a really nice weekend.  My sister came in from Houston to visit me.  I did not tell my son so when he woke up the next morning he was soooo suprised.  It was his birthday.  On Saturday we swam, had pizza and ice cream cake.  My son opened up his gifts.  All the shirts I bought him were too small.  O boy!!  I hope that we can get his weight under control.  It was a good day though!!  On Sunday we went to Melbourne beach.  Beautiful beach.  The color of the water is just gorgeous.  The waves were huge.  The waves just pummeled my boyfriend and son.  I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time.  I was standing on the shoreline and I got completely wet.  We had a great time.

Well surgery is wednesday.  I am getting really nervous.  I am praying that all goes well.  I am more nervous about this surgery than the first one and rightly so.  So many things can go wrong.  I just trust in the Lord that he will work it out.  If it is my time it is my time.  God is good and things will turn out.

I bought an elliptical machine this weekend off of craigslist.  It is really really nice.  It is a Nordic Trac.  I also bought ceiling fans and school clothes for my boy child.  Today is his first day of school.  The bus never came to pick him and 7 other kids up for school.  I guess I missed the memo on the time change. So I drove him to school today.  We were 15 minutes late for the first day of school.  I walked him to home room and thus starts the first day of middle school for my son.  My son is a special needs child.  I called the bus company and they are not answering calls, I called the principal of the school and she is not returning calls.  I hope my son gets on the right bus to come home.  I am not impressed with the schools in Orlando.  I am suprised by the crime in Orlando and the people are crazy here.  It's not a disney day everyday here.  

The only good thing I can say about the move to Orlando is that I have a job with great insurance.  And I am having surgery next week. Yippeeee!!!!

3 weeks smoke free!!

Vegas was really fun.  We flew into San Diego Friday night and drove to Las Vegas.  The drive was long but there were a million stars in the sky.  It was absolutely beatiful.  There was a meteor shower as we drove through the desert.  We got into Vegas at 4:30am.  

Here are a few lessons I have learned from this trip

1.  I cannot fit in a seat on a 737.  I can fit in a seat on a 717.  I did not need a seat belt extention on either plane.

2.  Las Vegas is HOT in August (Duh)!!!  It was 107 degrees.  I had a migraine the whole time I was there.  I will not go back to vegas in the summer.  I will go back in the fall or winter.  

3.  There are allot of beautiful people in Vegas.  There was mascara,  gel, pecs and boobs all over the place.  LOL.  I can't wait to go back when I am fit.

We were upgraded at the Luxor and Excalibur. I had lots of last suppers at the buffet.  We went to hoover dam which was awesome.  And I lost much  money at the casinos.  All in all it was a great time had by all.

Now I need to focus on WLS.  I am going to start my liquid diet tomorrow.  And I am going to start my excersize regime.  Two weeks to go.  I am scared and excited at the same time.

I am broke. LOL!!!

I am off to Vegas today for my son's birthday.  It is a complete suprise to my son.  He is turning 12.  He loves Vegas but I think I like a little more than he does.  He is a little spoiled because he is an airline brat.  Working for an airline has it's perks.  SO next time I post I will be very happy or very very poor!!  LOL.  

I am 2 weeks smoke free.. YEAH!!!! And I am going on a self imposed liquid diet next week.  I have gained so much weight since I have quit smoking.  I can't stand myself.  I think I am 290 lbs now.  That totally sucks.  But the liquid diet should help. 

I am outee. Viva Las Vegas.

I called Dr. O's office and scheduled a date for the surgery.  It is August 29th.  I had my VBG done almost 6 years ago to the date.  Strange.  My sister is coming to look after my son.  So much to do so little time.  

Good news.  I am starting day 3 smoke free.  It has been hard because my boyfriend is still smoking.  There are certain triggers that set me off but I have not caved in.  Please pray for me. I do not want to smoke before my surgery.  The surgery is going to be risky as it is.  I do not want to voluntarily add to it. 

I am approved!!! I am approved!!!  I can't believe I am approved.  No fight, no fuss, no nothing.  I am beyond shocked.  I don't even know what to write.  When I come down off of cloud 9 I will write more later.

I called Aetna two days ago to see if Dr. O's office contacted them about the pre-cert.  Aetna told me that they were waiting for the clinical information to be sent over.  I told them that the Dr's office was waiting for them to call to send the clinical info over.  Talk about a disconnect.  I called Madeline at Dr. O's office today and she said that she was waiting for Aetna and I told her that Aetna was waiting for her.  Madeline said she would call Aetna to see what was going on.  I will keep you informed.
