100 lbs down
Apr 18, 2012
As of today I have lost 100lbs from my heaviest weight pre gastric bypass. I have not been on here much since my surgery. I plan to be on here more tho. I'm super excited that I am only 16 lbs from goal!

the first month was the hardest
Oct 30, 2011
I'm three months out now and very glad I had the surgery. The first month was the hardest and I didn't realize how much I would miss chewing food. now that I can have raw vegies and chicken breast my life is back to normal. I feel much better. Still have a hard time getting all my protien in, but I'm working on it. I'm down to a size 14 and I havn't seen that size in a loooong time, I'm still losing an average of 3-5 lbs a week and that makes me very happy! The surgery was well worth the struggles I went thru the first 6 weeks. I would recomend it to anyone who has struggled with their weight like I have.

Post op blues

Seriously, I'm struggling with this surgery. I'm not hungry but being on clear fluids really sucks! I miss chewing, and I miss food. Not that I'm hungry for food b/c I'm not. It doesn't even bother me to sit with people while they are eating and I'm drinking my "clear" fluids. I guess I just want to be back to normal, and that includes eating...even if it is a small amount. I'm sure once I make it thru the fluid part of this new lifestyle I will be ok, but getting there is very difficult for me. In 3 weeks I will be able to have soft foods...3 weeks feels like an eternity from now!
