Hi All.. Today, 1 day after the 24th Anniversary of my 16th Birthday I received the Blessing of my Insurance Company to go ahead and have this Bariatric Surgery that I've been praying for. So far, Everything is going just so smoothly and everything just seems to be falling in place So I'am convinced that the good lord is watching over me and even he wants me to have this done. I am so excited and yet nervous in a odd way. I think it's just I have made so many plans for next spring ie golfing, snorkeling, etc. Things I used to do many moons ago. I wonder how I'll have time to get it all in. To say nothing about all the loss time with my wife. By that I mean something as miniscue as going to a movie I was not able to do and I begged off saying I was not feeling good but in reality, I knew I couldn't fit in those seats. Things that I took for granted back when. How I'm looking forward to doing those again.

I wish you an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. Having WLS is a big step in the right direction. <br><p> Although when you wake up from surgery you may be saying, "What the hell did I do"? <br><p> I guarantee once the pain and the newness wears off and you become better adjusted, you like me and millions of others, will be saying it is the best thing you have ever done.<br><p> It gets better everyday. You will not be perfect as no one is, but with all of us here at AMOS to support you I have no worries that you will be a success story.<br><p> I pray that your journey is filled with self-awareness and enlightenment. God Bless.<br><p> P.S. I am on pins and needles just like you. I am down to goal weight and am having the rest of my reconstructive surgery on the same day as your WLS. I had TT and inner thigh lift 8/13/03 and will have arm lift, breast lift, and hip and buttock lift on the 29th. My insurance paid for it all. I am truly blessed and know that miracles really do happen. Good Luck.<br><p>

I wanted to wish you well with your upcoming surgery. I hope that all goes well and that you are up and out and about real soon. I'll bet you are are doing a happy dance accompanied by a bundle of unwanted "NERVES", but don't worry be HAPPY! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck!

Well We are moving right along. I met 1 on 1 with Dr Pleatman today. We discussed the surgery. I did decide on the LapBand as I believe this would be the best course of treatment for myself and to assist me accomplish what I decided to do. Already I feel a breath of new life in me and I am looking forward to each and every day with a smile Just knowing I can do this. Of course I will still need my buddies here. :O) I welcome everyone to be my angel.
