Hi Sherry, I'm sending big hugs your way because I know how hard it is to wait. I also had to wait about 2 years for various reasons, including my own HORRIBLE fears and my insurance company's mix-up but here I am 9 mos. post-op and 108 pounds thinner; I truly believe that things happen for a reason! Use this time to get yourself ready by taking short walks and getting everything in order; you'll be surprised how quickly time will fly. You've already got your approval and you're ready to become a healthier person; you're further along than most. God Bless and stay cheerful because YOUR surgery WILL happen. Your sis in WLS

Sherry, I am also supposed to have surgery at BTC-PA, and I have Empire BC/BS. I was also told that the local BC/BS didn't approve the site because they didn't have their medicare credentials. Would you please let me know if you hear any updates. I was approved for surgery, but not for the site, until they've done those 25.
