Angel update....I just called and woke Jim up but he was able to talk for a little bit. He said he hurt like hell but for those of us who have made the trip we know what he means. He is able to sit up and they hope to have him up and walking today. He is expected to be in the hospital for about a week so I will keep everyone posted.

Hi Jim! See, I knew you'd make it! You're going to do great! Remember that the first two weeks are the toughest (or so I'm told) and it's all downhill from here! Hugs! snurfles

Jim - my prayer for you is an uneventful surgery and a quick and complete recovery, along with a long and healthy life. May you know God's peace and loving kindness as you begin this journey, and may you know that His angels walk with you. You are lifted up by a family that loves you and cares about you - and your angel here on earth is a true gift from God! May you be healthy and full of God's healing power. Hugs and blessings!

Jim, I met you last night at the support group meeting. What a dynamic man! You have nothing to fear. We've already prayed you to a safe and uneventful surgery. I'll be calling Metro on Saturday to talk to you. Just do some deep breathing today (it really will help for after the surgery). I'll also send you an email for pre-ops later today. Leave things in God's hands, He brought you to this point and is not going to leave you. I will pray for Him to guide the surgeon's hands and keep you calm on the table. Good luck and I fully expect to see you at the August meeting!

Jim best of luck on the 5th. I am five weeks out today and have lost 68 pounds. I started out at 430 pounds on May 29th. I was facing a death sentence of less than 3-6 months and can honestly tell you my life has changed drastically. It wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination but I am making the transitions carefully and easier now. Barry was my angel too. He is wonderful. Hang in there. I can't wait to see the pounds flying off of you too. God bless you....Annette Castillo
