Things have been happening so fast. I need to be eating right now instead of blogging. I weighed in at 286 today.I've lost 20 lbs since my highest weight. This is the smallest I've been in 4 years. me and this tube the doctor left in are not getting along. It makes me so sore and i can only sleep on my right side. Other than the tube im doing fine.

Time is Flying By

Looked at the calendar today, I have 3 weeks until my surgery. I can't believe how fast time is flying. I really am not going to believe I have the surgery until it happens. I'm trying to take my iron pills everyday so my iron is high enough for the doctor; he wants me at a 11 or 12. My iron is usually around 10. I have my last appt with the colon people next week. My colon prep for this is 3 days liquids and GoLytely solution. Yuk!!! I can taste it already. This time they want a barium enema for radiology.I'll be glad when its over.

Pre op Update

I completed my Pych eval today. It wasn't that bad. I thought the doctor would accept one I had done previously at the VA but his assistant said Heck No! it was done 4 years ago. So I had to fork up the money for a new psych eval. Mo money Mo money.All i have left to do now is my bloodwork 2 weeks out from surgery , an appt with Dr.Spivak 5 days before surgery, and a barium enema for my PCP. My PCP is still trying to figure out my anemia. I know its heavy periods and fibroids. Why he won't just accept that I don't know.
Haven't smoked in 10 days!!!I was tempted when I found out I had to pay for my psych eval but I fought off the feelings. I am feenin so bad. I ate some chocolate valentine candy. I know i do not need it. But I'm still wanting that smoke. This too shall pass.It's going to be OK!!

Tattoo and Preop Update

The tattoo removal went fine. I might have to go back a couple more times to get all the ink totally removed. It felt like a thousand needles pricking my skin at once. Not too cool while it was happening but it was ok afterwards.
My PCP is making me go to radiology for a barium enema to make sure my colon is ok because I'm anemic. That's later on this month. I go and see my therapist for the Psych eval this Tuesday. I hope that goes OK. I'm getting so excited and nervous about all of these doctor visits. I just want all of this preop and PCP stuff to be over with so I can have the surgery.

Going to have two tattoos removed on Wed. Gee what fun!! I hope it dosen't hurt as much as the last time.

Preop Testing

Had my colonoscopy and urea breath test today. It wasn't that bad actually. I'll see how sore I am later,but so far I feel OK. My PCP is requesting this colon stuff because I'm anemic.
