Hell-o I have sent my before/after pix in so I am hoping they show up soon. I am 49 yrs, I have lost 108 pounds and now weigh 147, only 9# to my goal. I am 5ft5 and am wearing a perfect 10 and some 8's. I am dealing with trying to get approved for plastic surgery. I had been eating a lot of carbs, and I was feeling stressed out about my food choices. I gave up on bread last week and I am already feeling better. I am really trying to follow the "protein first" rule. I am going on a "singles cruise" next month and I'm trying to get in shape. The sun is finally out here in Kansas, I can handle the winter weather better if there's some sunshine!

This morning i went to breakfast with my daughter and grandchildren. I ordered off the kids menu. I was hungry UNTIL the food came. There was so much food on the table that I lost my appitite. I tried to eat and ended up feeling queezy. I went to the ladies room and there was this teenager in there on her cell phone sobbing her heart out to someone. Welll....I couldn't exactly THROW UP with her in there with her heart breaking and all. So I went back to the table and sit quietly until my stomach calmed down. Has anyone else totally lost their appitite when confronted with the sight and smell of a LOT of food? Down 104.5 pounds in 10 months. 5ft 5 and 151.5. 3.5 more pounds until I am at a "normal weight" BMI..yeeehaw...I don't have an apron, but the "puppies" are looking less like pointers and more like beagles every week.hahaha

Christmas Day 02! 10 months post op, 103# off. I tried to have steak last night as my Christmas Eve meal, it didn't stay down so I now feel that steak is off my menu for good. I still cannot tolerate pasta, either. It doesn't bother me though, as there are many fun things to do besides eat. Fortunately, I am able to tolerate sugar free chocolate lattes and I'd rather have a 12 oz latte' than a steak 99% of the time. I tried ONE chocolate chip caramel cookie last night and ended up bringing it back up. I should have known better, huh! I work in a long term care hospital and families bring in platters of sweets from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I just lost my head over that ONE cookie calling my name, it won't happen again!!!

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE CENTURY CLUB

Connie M. 23 years, 5 months ago

Happy Thanksgiving. I have reached my 101# off - Hello Century Club! I am 9 months out. I have 6 more pounds until I am in the "normal" weight catagory and @ 5ft 5 I have 16# more pounds until I have reached my "goal" weight of 138. I have no holiday food fears for the first time in years. Sweets don't call my name anymore. I made some choc cookies out of sugar twin from a recipe I pulled off the internet. They are good. I don't crave them or anything.. 1 or 2 a night is about it. The holidays are upon us at work and today the table is covered with sweets as it will be from here until after New Years. I am thinking more about the Singles Cruise I signed up for than the loss of cookies and candy this year. I won't need a tummy tuck, I don't have that problem. I sure have some "floppy" thigh action but I'm 50, so to heck with that.

Hi, Here I am 8.5 months post op. I weigh 159 @ 5ft5. I am wearing a size 12 and a few size 10's. I have lost 96.5 pounds and I am anxious to join the 100# off club. I am 49 and no spring chicken BUT I feel like a little spring chicken. Today I signed on for a SINGLES cruise in March to celebrate 1 year post op. At 100# off I will be in the "normal" weight range. Life is good, pre ops keep at it, it's worth it!

7 months out and I have lost 90#. I am in size 12 now. I flew to Calif last week. It was a wonderful fit in the airline seat. There was a very large woman in the seat in front of me, she was bulging out into the isle. I felt sorry for her as the attendent had to ask her to stand so he could get the food/beverage cart by. I also felt sorry for her seat mate, as I figured she was bulging out the same amount into that passengers' seat. I guess, at the risk of being ripped to shreds by others on this site, I do understand why some airlines are charging overweight people for 2 seats. When my daughter saw me, she said she didnt recognize me and asked me if I had shrunken in heighth, too, as I looked smaller all over. I reassured myself when I got home. Whew,I am still 5ft5 and 165. ( starting weight was 255)
