Patricia, best of luck to you tomorrow! I know you will be great! I will call tomorrow to see how you are, and if I have a chance, I will do my best to get by to see you. If I don't make it, and you are still there Friday, I'll see ya then, when Dr. Roll does the surgery to me! My thoughts and prayers are with you tomorrow on your big day!

Hi Patricia... back in 1991 I had the Vertical Banded Gastroplasty along with my gall bladder removed... A year later I had a bilateral breast reduction, abdominal plasty and a hernia repair. I did great both times. The second time I was in surgery 6 hours. Surgery by its very nature is hard on the body each time they have to put a person under, so if a doc can accomplish more than one thing better in the long run. I have heard some surgeons are taking out the gall bladder with this surgery as there can be gall bladder complications later that may require surgery again. I did lose 170 but over the years gained it all back plus... so now I am going to have the RNY - open revision and am not going to mess this one up!!!! I MAKE CHOICES AND THIS IS MY CHOICE!

YOU DO HAVE AN ANGEL -- ME!! Cliff and I are praying for your smooth operation and speedy recovery every day -- We had NO DOUBTS that you will come through splendidly! You have a wonderful surgeon (same as us!) and a great hospital staff. Well, it's finally NOVEMBER!!! If you need anything, I will be right there for you! I saw Dr. Roll a few days ago for my pre-op. I have completed everything, so now it's just the wait for November 16th for me! I wish you all the best!

It was so great talking to you today! Best of luck on an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery... I'll be there for you every step of the way! Hopefully we will be in the hospital on the same day and get to see each other. Just ask our doctor to let you stay an additional day!!!!

Hi Patricia. Isn't it GREAT! We are almost THERE! I am having the surgery 11-16, so we will be starting our new lives together. I am 58 years young and can't wait to get started on a healthy life. Good luck, and stay in touch.
