Maria, you have your approval and it should be good for awhile.(from my understanding) I would seek a new surgeon. I cant believe that they are saying you are no longer eligable, that is the stupidest thing i have heard of. But please, please DONT GIVE UP!!! Have you contacted your state medical commitioner? From my understanding they can over turn your insurance. Dont quote me on that as I am just starting it myself after I recieved my 2nd denial. Stay strong and fight them, DONT GIVE UP!! Maria: Don't give up! If it were me, I'd just look for another surgeon. Your approval should still be good. I can't understand why you'd be cancelled for that, anyway. It seems pretty ridiculous to me. If we could lose (or even maintain) our weight, we wouldn't need the WLS! I hope you don't give up if this is really what you want. Good luck.

Hello Maria...I hope everything goes smoothly for you on the 2nd. Which surgeon do you have? I had Dr. Simon. The staff at University Hospital 5th floor has a lot of experience with bariatric patients, you will do well there. The nurses are great...Anne, Peggy, Shawn, Cameron, Liz and all the nursing assistants too. They will take good care of you. I wish you a speedy recovery and God Bless.
