I've been to see Renee again today. She is doing fabulous! She's off the epidural, got her I.V.'s and catheter out. When I saw her she hadn't had any pain medication since the removal of the epidural. She was sore, but not a huge amount of pain. Renee is doing a lot of walking the halls and will be discharged on Friday. Way to go Renee!!

Renee had her surgery on 5/2. I went to see her today and she is doing very well. She was sitting up drinking liquids and putting on make up. The nutritionist came in and went over her food (which was helpful for me the pre-op!)Afterwards, Renee went for a stroll down the hall. Renee is expected to be released on Friday. Way to go Renee!!

Hi Renee, Dr.Husted is also my doctor. You are in very good hands. He and his staff will take very good care of you. They have me. I just got my staples removed today. It was a breeze, no pain at all. I had a little trouble w/my G-tube coming out but Dr.Husted and nurse Jamie was on the phone w/ me till I was ok w/ what was happening. It was gross but over w/ in no time. This rarely happens, I must have pulled it in my sleep. I'm 2 weeks out & have lost 25# so far. The hardest thing to deal w/ for me is not eating "real" food. I go on emotional rollercoasters alot. But each day gets better. Let me know if you would like to talk in person. But let me say I DO understand all you are going thru & I have faith you are being well taken care of. Good Luck & best of wishes!!!!!!

renee, Hey just dropping you a note to congradulate you on stepping to the other side. I hope you get well quickly. Dr. Husted is great i know your in good hands. My date is on the 10th with same Dr. Again good luck and your in my prayers. stephanie

Renee had her surgery at Centennial Hospital on Monday. She came through surgery fine, but had to spend extra time in ICU due to not coming off the ventilator as expected. As of today (Tuesday) she is in a regular room. The nurses were there to get her up and walking when I called and spoke to her mother. Way to go Renee!!! I'll be seeing her tomorrow and will have another update then.
