Hey Girly Girl! What's up? 10 more days huh? Girl, you need to stop stressing. That's what is making you sick. You have to mentally fight those demons who don't want to see you succeed. Don't give them the glory. I'm here for you when you need me. I have 2 more days and after that I will be a happy camper, Lord willing. Remember, if God brings you to it, he will see you through it.

Hi Girly Girl :) I just read your post! I am just 4 days post-op... had my surgery in L.A. I was in the same boat as you prior to surgery! Worried to DEATH that I would end up on the Memorial Page (even wrote "Goodbye" letters to my kids and husband), and more worried about not getting a sleep apnea test. I was COMPLETELY FINE with zero complications! Had an awesome surgeon (which you do, too), even better post-op care in the hospital, and now have lost 11 lbs.! Not to worry... I know you'll do GREAT! Try to think positively, pray, etc., and you'll come through with flying colors. I know it! Good luck to you... you're in my prayers.

~~ GIRLY GIRL ~~ Hon, I know exactly what you're going through. Any one of us who have had surgery knows ALL too well the feelings you're experiencing right now. I too was very afraid, questioning right up until the bitter end if I was making the right decision. I looked at it this way - If it's God's time to take me, it doesn't matter if it's being in surgery, on an airplane, in a car, walking down the street, or even slipping in my bathtub. If it's your time to go, it's your time to go. Only GOD knows when that moment will be for all of us so, put your COMPLETE trust in Him for He will NEVER fail you. " Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. " PSALMS 55:22 We're all here for you hon and praying for you, as well. If there's anything you need, feel free to e-mail me. I will be shouting prayers to the Heavens for you to overcome your fears. JUST GIVE IT TO HIM!!! Love, Hugs and Blessings to you! †

Girly Girl, it's really normal to be experiencing the feelings you are experiencing, and believe it or not, it's good that you are reading the memorial pages and know the risks beforehand. I never had a sleep apnea test because I had no symptoms of sleep apnea. The doctor did send me for a pulmonary function test, which would have shown if I needed to go for a sleep apnea test. Did you have a pulmonary function test? I would ask the doctor about it if you are nervous. Also, do you always feel really tired, even after you've slept a full night? Do you wheeze when you are lying down? Did you discuss these fears with your doctor? Tell him how you are feeling. It might just be nerves, or there might be a reason you should have more testing. Good luck to you.
