You should go to the Insurance Commission in your state or perhaps contact the Attorney General if your doctor keeps up with this. He sounds like a quack, thank God your surgery went well.

linda, AMEN about the clothing exchange...I started posting a few wks back about this....I sent out 2 rounds of clothes and the first time, the chick never even emailed me...tried it again, and 3 of the 6 have sent checks and thank yous. I emailed the other 3 with "shame on you"...Oh well, I did find a nice gal in CA who had the same problem, she is smaller than me and now she ships me her stuff and I pay her. So, oh well. i did take 4 bags of clothes to Goodwill last wk, no more stuff for people on here. Its not worth the aggravation, plus the tax right off is nice

LINDA - About a week and a half ago, I posted a comment on the message board about people asking for clothes, PROMISING to send postage money, and then NOT sending it. I am out almost $50 in the last two months for being KIND to a stranger-someone who HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS I HAD !! I felt used and duped, and yes, it made me very angry. The one box of clothes I sent to the West Coast contained far in excess of $600 worth of clothes, 95% of which still had the 'cleaning tags' on them ! Someone mentioned that maybe people were asking for things, and then maybe selling them for profit, like at yard sales, etc. I would hate to think someone would be that sneaky and deceitful, but after being duped not once, but twice, I'm starting to re-think my outlook. If you care to share the name of the person who scammed you, I would be interested. I would never reveal your email to anyone. If you don't wish to do that (and I do understand), please, at least, tell me where you sent your packages. I would be very interested to know if they were to the same people. In all likelihood, it isn't, but if it is, then I think I would be forced to post something to warn other people who try to be kind and generous, too. Anyway, hope you have a good holiday. Like me, it's best to put this anger and frustration in the past, but it is still very annoying ! Thank you for saying what others have thought too. I will not even try a certain product because one member is constantly touting it! And she is on their website too. Thank you again. You should check out the reviews too. Interesting timing.

Linda, take those "safety" clothes to the good will honey. You are not going to need them anymore. Be positive, go forward and believe in yourself. I know you do or you wouldn't have gone through with this life changing surgery:o)..Take joy in your new size and your new life. Try not to look back but to only look forward. As the song " I hope you Dance" says: "I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance, Never settle for the path of least resistance Livin' might mean takin' chances but they're worth takin'".... You can do it! You already are :o)

Hi Linda: I am 4 months post op and I have really started loosing slower than I was. I use splenda and I dont seem to dump but I am wandering if it is causing my slow weight loss. I am only loosing 8 to 10 lbs a month lately. I am also taking a calcium product that is a chew. I dont know if that is causing my slow weight loss. I have lost 82 lbs sofar and 36" and 5 cloathing sizes though. I lost 70 lbs before surgery too so I dont know that might be the culpret. I see my surgeon on Tuesday this week. I will ask him and see if he feels I need a nutritionist consult. I will try to write you again after thanksgiving and let you know what he says. i understand that Splenda is a puffed sugar.It has the tast of sugar but it has no calories. my mom said it really does great in baking and cooking. I hope we can find out soon.

Linda I haven't gotten to the post you were refering to..eating junk food. I haven't had my surgery, will probably have it in about 6 weeks. My surgeon is very militant about what we can an can't eat. After surgery we are on pureed food for 8 weeks, then slowly adding other things. I am amazed when I read some of the posts from people who are not following he post-op instructions, eating sugar...and when the post starts of "I know I shouldn't do this", I think what the heck are they thinking. We hve this major surgery which we could die from...then the money and time off work. So, good for you for saying something. Take care, and continued loosing. Mari Seattle
