Still on my journey

Nov 01, 2010

Well I am 1 yr and 5 mnths since WLS and have lost 116lbs.  Life is sooo much better. I've done several 5K's (walking not running) and love being able to walk and enjoy other activities again. I regularly attend support groups, and find them very helpful and a sense of paying it forward to others interested in getting WLS.
I went from 277 lbs size 26 to 153 lbs. and size 12 or 10. It doesn't get better then that.....
I never want to be heavy again. This is how I want to continue for the rest of my life. The WLS gave me a 2nd chance and now its up to me to make lifestyle changes. I know I can keep this up.
My husband Ron and son Ross have been very supportive. My friends have been amazingly supportive and wonderful to me throughout this journey.
I look back at my before pictures and don't know how I got so heavy, other then 20 lbs became 40 and then 60 to 80 and then I was so out of control I couldn't get it off., and just got bigger.
But, life has changed and I'm living a healthy lifestyle now, moderation in food and exercise are my new goals every day...
