Gwen, you are doing right to leave it in God's hands. You may become more nervous as the date gets closer but stick to your prayer. You will be having a few rotten days post-op, but it is nothing you can't get through. Best of luck!

Hi Gwen! Just wanted you to know that I spent over eight hours on the computer the other night researching and relearning everything I had already been told. Sounds pretty extreme and my butt hurt really bad when I got up from the computer(LOL) but I feel better now. I think this is normal! I go for my preops on Tuesday and I think I will feel better after I see my surgeon and the nutritionist again. Good luck! Its ok to worry! Karla

Hi Gwendolyn, Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I am excited for you. In answer to your question about having no worry or fear...I too did not have any worry or fear. I was extremely excited and could not sleep the last couple of nights before my surgery. I wondered if the fear would come when I got to the hospital but it never did. I just put it all in God's hands and prayed all would go well. I just wanted to get it over with and start my new life. Every thing has gone good so far, I am 5 days post-op and feel great. I will pray for you on a speedy recovery to your healthier and happier new life.

Gwen - Congratulations on getting a surgery date. I read your profile with much interest because our stats and BMI are very similar. I can't imagine how it feels to have a surgery date. When your pre-op you think it's never going to happen. Best of luck and keep us posted on your progress.
