Dear Kara: Just wanted to wish you good luck on your upcoming surgery; I know this is an exciting and scary time all at the same time, but believe me when I tell you how much better you'll feel when the weight starts coming off! I'm looking forward to surgery myself; I was thin once upon a time and started putting on weight 13 years ago (hmmm, I got married 13 years ago, too...coincidence??? LOL) I've been miserable ever since I had bilateral foot surgeries 7 years ago. I can't wait to be thin again, not JUST because I'll look better, but because it will be nice to get out of bed without so much pain, walk without so much pain, heck pretty much do everything without so much pain! When I was thin I was extremely active and loved to do things like water ski, roller skate, bike ride, play tennis, swim, and all kinds of other things. Now, I can't even walk my dog down to the corner and back. I have to use a wheelchair when I go anywhere that requires walking any distance at all, even to Walmart, unless I'm just going in for something specific (and who can do that at the super Walmarts these days? LOL)
Anyway, just wanted to encourage you on your journey.
Good Luck and God Bless!!
